‘The Vampire Diaries’ stars have decided to end their relationship, multiple sources confirm.

Thursdays are always exciting for fans of The Vampire Diaries, but this week is a little different. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev — who began quietly dating after meeting on the set of their hit CW series — have ended their relationship, People is reporting.
Fortunately, there is some good news to come out of this tragedy:
Ian, 34, and Nina, 24, are “consumate professionals,” a source tells Us Weekly. The actors “will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started.”

Nina and Ian have done a very good job of keeping their relationship private, but in a candid interview with Seventeen in Sept. 2012, Nina finally opened up about dating her co-star.
